CCTVdirect was founded in 1999 to supply industry professionals with competetivly priced CCTV equipment. It was established from its founder company Firsteye Ltd which was predominatly an alarm and CCTV installation company. We soon realised that we could provide cost conscious end users with professional ready to install DIY CCTV kits. As we found many of our customers would rather "Do It Themselves" than pay sometimes expensive installation charges.
We originally looked at supplying pre-made kits direct to the end user but soon decided the only way to ensure quality and high resolution images was to build our own packages using high grade professional equipment. The kits and cameras we supply will always outperform off the shelf "Plug and Play Equipment".
After a period of success we decided to minimize our range of products and just supply items that in our opinion are robust, reliable and above all provide great pictures at low prices. Each product undergoes rigorous testing prior to despatch to ensure everything you receive works first time right out of the box.
Many professional installers have also realised the benefits and cost savings we provide and as a result we have built up a large professional customer base. Many of these trade customers buy from CCTVdirect week in week out. In the UK we could see that some of the traditional larger CCTV distributers were greatly overpricing their CCTV equipment. So we made sure that our goal was to keep our prices down but still sell the same great products. With increased sales we moved to a larger premises and finally opened our own showroom and warehouse. Thus taking on many more staff and seasonal workers.
